Testimonials

I had been unsuccessful in attempts to negotiate new fee schedules with Humana and UHC for approximately two years. When we received the Center for Healthcare Reimbursement's 2008 reports, I was shocked to find that many of our codes were being compensated below our peers. The information we received was instrumental in our negotiations, and we were FINALLY able to reach an agreement with both carriers. The reports I received from the Center for Healthcare Reimbursement this year showed a marked increase in reimbursements, but there is still room for improvement. Now, armed with this year's reports, we will attempt to negotiate with other carriers. The reports from the Center for Healthcare Reimbursement are invaluable.

One of the most frustrating aspects of medical practice management is trying to determine if you are getting fair reimbursement for your services; and the inability to have open discussions regarding reimbursement with other practices exacerbates the problem. The Center for Healthcare Reimbursement has developed an ingenious process for gathering reimbursement data from practices in the same specialty and geographic area, but at the same time adhering to FTC regulations.
The medical practices, in return for their participation, receive a free copy of the Survey Report, and the Center holds an online meeting to explain the report and answer questions. Additionally, for a fee, the Center will provide a more detailed analysis.
Finally, practices are getting information that makes the reimbursement process a little more transparent.

I wanted to send a paragraph or two to tell you what a pleasure it is to be associated with IQS Research and the Center for Healthcare Reimbursement. I have known Shawn Herbig for a couple of years now (seems like many more...) and I have thoroughly enjoyed watching his company expand and grow.
I can recall--when IQS began its first rounds of gathering reimbursement data from group practices--how Shawn took a personal interest in going beyond the gathering of facts and figures. He made it a point to meet with me and to hear the voice behind the numbers. Not only did it add authenticity to the information being collected, I could see that he truly cared about what these numbers represented. It does not surprise me that Shawn continues to take his research objectives to new levels with each passing year.
I appreciate all that IQS Research has done to not only provide timely, useful data but also to package it into such a powerful tool to be used by medical practice administrators.

The single most valuable aspect of our study was quantifying the economic impact of KC physicians together. The 18-21K employees and $2.7 billion in wages/6.6% has been really compelling to physicians as well as business leaders. Doctors get beaten down by begging to stop Medicare cuts and fighting for insurance reimbursements. It is empowering for physicians to know how much the profession means in $$ to our region. The study was the beginning of a long term strategy to return docs to leadership.

MAMA knew anecdotally that physicians were having problems with reimbursements. It wasn’t until we enlisted the help of IQS Research that we were able to put facts with these reports. We were so motivated to learn more, that we asked IQS to do a physician satisfaction survey. That was three years ago and things seem to be slowly improving in our area and for our physicians. IQS is now doing a follow-up survey on reimbursements so we can update our statistics and continue to advocate for our physicians. Without the help and support of the surveys and IQS Research we would not be able to offer our members light at the end of the reimbursement tunnel!

I have been extremely pleased with the quality of work and professionalism that IQS Research offers. Shawn and his team are always there to answer questions and help when needed. There is no other research firm I would rather work with.

As the Executive Director of the Norwalk IPA in Connecticut, IQS Research was able to help us document a clear picture of the reimbursement landscape within the medical community. The information was most valuable in gaining an understanding of the reimbursement variances within payers and the impact on physician practice.,

IQS Research has been an important partner to the Health Enterprises Network for more than three years. Their studies are expertly designed and allow us to answer important questions. Most importantly, they help us understand the relevant information from our customer feedback, enabling us to grow and to keep our customers happy.

IQS also helped us establish and improve our flagship program – Louisville Healthcare Fellows. As a result of IQS’ work, the program is successful, revenue has stayed at or above our expectation level and referrals from participants have kept the recruiting costs to a minimum.

IQS Research carries on its business in a scientifically disciplined manner and their data collection and data analysis give us every confidence in making important decisions that affect our members. I fully endorse IQS for any needed research.
